I've read many books. Here are some of them:
Jane Eyre, Charlotte Brontë
Pride and Prejudice, Jane Austen
Anne of Green Gables, Lucy M. Montgomery
These are only three books, but I think they are the best ones. I love old romantic books, (perhaps you already noticed that...?) I think they are so beautifully written and the characters are so different from what people truly are nowadays. Or maybe they are not so different, it's just that nowadays people's lifestyles are so different. Almost everyone lives in a big city, works or studies, and many times people just don't have time for the most important things in life. In those books, family, friends, love and intelligence is something very important. Money isn't the most important thing. And also the style of talking (and proposing...) is very different. However, it is wonderful to imagine yourself into the events. And sometimes when some sentence is so well written, you're just closing the book and staring at the wall with eyes closed for a minute. And others think you've gone mad. Happened to me.
Anyway, my absolutely favorite book is Pride and Prejudice. Oh, Mr. Darcy. I don't know if it needs more explanation. Actually I'm pretty sure it doesn't. Well, maybe just one sentence: "It is a truth universally acknowledged that a single man in a possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife." Yeah, that's one of the most popular literatures sentences in the world. And I think that's very interesting and clever beginning for a book. I love the book really a lot. Sometimes it's funny, sometimes sad. But all the time it's very romantic. Okay, maybe just one more sentence ..? This is the most beautiful part and also the saddest part of the book (if you ask me): ”She began now to comprehend that he was exactly the man who, in disposition and talents, would most suit her." "She was convinced that she could have been happy with him, when it was no longer likely they should meet.” Touching, isn't it?
